Service Agreement

The Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission (DDBC) enters a renewable Service Agreement with Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) every two years.

The service agreement describes the business services to be delivered by the DDBC, on behalf of HRM in the defined business district- in this case Downtown Dartmouth.

To fund the service agreement, HRM collects an area rate from the companies located in Downtown Dartmouth. Each year HRM sets the area rate as part of the general tax structure.
