On Saturday, Portland Street will be closed to motor vehicle traffic from Alderney Drive to Victoria Road and filled with live ice carving, street games, music and lots of fun! Read on to learn about all that will be set up along Portland Street and around Downtown Dartmouth.

Along Portland Street, Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden
Enjoy the thrill of watching live ice carving! Along Portland Street, you will find many of our talented carvers working away to create magic in the planters. The Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden on the Dartmouth Waterfront will have impressive sculptors carving away.


Portland Street Stage
Portland Street & Prince Street
The Portland Street Stage will be along Portland Street at the Prince Street intersection and filled with talent! This event will celebrate all styles of Music and bring the dance floor to the middle of the street.
Breaking Circus's Realms of Winter presented by Alderney Landing
Alderney Landing theatre
Join Breaking Circus for Realms of Winter! Brave the frozen tundra and journey with us through a fantastical, interactive circus experience! The acrobatic inhabitants are ready to show you how to thrive amidst the glaciers and snowfields of this frosty circus world!


Street Games & Activities
Portland Street
Big Entertainment Inflatable Inc. will be set up along Portland Street by Victoria Road with street activities and games for folks to enjoy.
Street Curling
Dartmouth Waterfront Noon-4PM
Enjoy the fun of curling on our inflatable Street Curling Rink! The rink will be set up on the Dartmouth Waterfront. Grab your friends and family to try out this exciting curling opportunity.


Stages by O'Regan's Igloo Concert
Ferry Terminal Park 12-3PM
Enjoy tunes from the Ellenvale JR High Glam Band, Marine Drive Rock Band, Crocker and Smith Jazz Duo, Willow Field, Maia Smith, Bethany Drudle, Gloria White, Jacqueline Serieys, Kate Ross, Hayley Geddes, Sadie Landry, Emma Cartier, and Emerson MacNeil.

Ferry Terminal Park 7-9PM
Enjoy DJ tunes from an amazing lineup of DJs in our 40 foot igloo from 7pm-9pm.

Live carving will be happening throughout the day, but there will already be some sculptures complete for viewing! Complete sculptures will be at the Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden, on the Dartmouth Waterfront, outside of Alderney Landing near the market area, in King's Wharf, at East Coast Credit Union (155 Ochterloney Street) and throughout the day along Portland Street.
