Portland Street from Alderney to Victoria Noon-4PM
On Saturday, Portland Street will be closed to motor vehicle traffic from Alderney Drive to Victoria Road and filled with live ice carving, street games, music and lots of fun! Read on to learn about all that will be set up along Portland Street and around Downtown Dartmouth.

Along Portland Street, Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden
Enjoy the thrill of watching live ice carving! Along Portland Street, you will find many of our talented carvers working away to create magic in the planters. The Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden on the Dartmouth Waterfront will have impressive sculptors carving away.
Support for Culture Stage
Portland Street & Prince Street
The Support for Culture Stage will be on Portland Street near Prince Street and filled with talent! The stage will have tunes throughout the Street Party.
Breaking Circus Juggling Workshop
Portland Street
Join the talented crew from Breaking Circus Collective to learn how to juggle! They will be set up on Portland Street with balls for you to use, and they will teach you the basics of juggling.
Street Games & Activities
Portland Street
Big Entertainment Inflatable Inc. will be set up along Portland Street by Victoria Road with street activities and games for folks to enjoy.
Meet Bluey and Bingo
Alderney Landing Theatre Noon-4PM
Bluey and Bingo will be joining us for a meet and greet on both Saturday and Sunday. You say g'day to the Heeler sisters in the Alderney Landing Theatre from noon-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please note that they will be taking breaks periodically throughout the day.
Street Curling
Dartmouth Waterfront Noon-4PM
Enjoy the fun of curling on our inflatable Street Curling Rink! The rink will be set up on the Dartmouth Waterfront. Grab your friends and family to try out this exciting curling opportunity.
Mad Science of the
Maritimes
Portland Street noon-4PM
Mad Science of the Maritimes will be set up on Portland Street from noon-4pm a with fun and informative demonstration for folks to enjoy.
Support for Culture Igloo DJ Party
Ferry Terminal Park 6-8PM
Enjoy DJ tunes from an amazing lineup of DJs in our new 40 foot igloo! DJs will be performing from 6-8pm on Saturday as well as on Friday from 6-8pm and Sunday from noon-4pm.
Marine Drive Rising Star Solo Matinee presented by O'Regan's
Alderney Gate Public Library 11AM-1PM
Enjoy an eclectic matinee featuring original songs by young performers.
Meet Ice Princesses & Watch Frozen
Alderney Gate Public Library 1:30PM-4:30PM
From 1:30pm-4:30pm, some very special ice princesses will be at the Alderney Gate Public Library to visit with folks that stop by. At 2:30pm, the singalong version of Frozen will be played on the second floor of the library in the Helen Creighton Room.

Live carving will be happening throughout the day, but there will already be some sculptures complete for viewing! Complete sculptures will be at the Nova Scotia Power Illuminated Sculpture Garden on the Dartmouth Waterfront, outside of Alderney Landing near the market area, in King's Wharf, and throughout the day along Portland Street.
