Harvi Millar & Zamani

Harvi Millar began his musical journey at the age of 15 in the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia after being exposed to Jazz in high school by the Luther Framcois Trio. Though it was his dream to become a professional musician, his career would take him down a different path while holding on to his love for music – an artform that has shaped the person he is today.
Harvi is a composer, producer and performer with a passion for jazz, blues, funk and Afrobeat. His approach to music is that of self-expression through reinterpretation. His many influences include Eddie Jefferson, Betty Carter and Al Jarreau when it comes to vocals, and the great instrumentalists such as Wes Mongomery, George Benson, Eric Gale, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and others. Combining Jazz with funky rhythms, Harvi defines his music as Rhythm and Jazz (RnJ) or HipBop.
Harbi is a 4-time ANSMA award winner and a two-time ECM Award winner. Harvi is planning on releasing a new project before the end of the year, so stay tuned!
