With temperatures dropping and an increased number of folks dealing with precarious and inadequate housing, we have come together with Nova Scotia Power to “SOCK IT TO WINTER” with a sock drive at the 2026 East Coast Credit Union Ice Festival. Nova Scotia Power is kicking off the drive with $2500 in socks!

The East Coast Credit Union Ice Festival will be held from Friday, January 30-Sunday, February 1, 2026, where there will be a number of “Sock it to Winter Sock Collection” boxes presented by Nova Scotia Power for folks to donate socks. The socks collected will be distributed to those in need by the Downtown Dartmouth Street Outreach Navigator after the festival.
